Planned

Small-scale infrastructure monitoring

A planned exploration of service checks and useful operational signals for owner-operated infrastructure.

Objective

Understand whether a service is usable and identify failures without creating a monitoring system that is harder to maintain than the infrastructure it watches.

Project status

Planned experiment. There is no live monitoring feed or published uptime claim attached to this project.

Initial scope

Start with service reachability and basic health checks. Distinguish application availability from model readiness: a working login page does not prove that inference is functioning.

Security considerations

Keep detailed operational state restricted. Monitoring must not publish internal addresses, administrative routes, user activity, or private request content.

Validation plan

Deliberately exercise application downtime, inference failure, and network interruption. Confirm that checks distinguish those conditions and recover when the dependency returns.

Future improvements

Consider status.drabsnarg.com only after there is an operating monitoring system and a defined audience for its information.
