Nexio ICM on Windows 11: "No Communication"

Ping worked, the control port didn't. Three separate fixes were needed to get the ICM client talking to the AMP servers again.

Owner-reported findings. Published Oct 26, 2026. Reviewed Oct 26, 2026.

Symptom

After moving to Windows 11, the Nexio ICM client showed “No Communication” with the AMP servers.

What I checked

  • Ping worked. The network path was there.
  • TCP 331 failed. The control connection itself wasn’t getting through.

Ping proves reachability, not that the application can talk. That narrowed it to the client machine.

Root cause and fix

Three things, all on the client:

  1. The Keylok driver needed an updated Windows 11 version.
  2. The ICM client needed a reinstall.
  3. The ICM.ini file was corrupt, so I rebuilt it from a known-good machine.

Takeaway

Keep a known-good config to compare against. Rebuilding the .ini from a working machine was faster than guessing which line was wrong.
